S/he has knowledge of current theoretical approaches to the delivery of patient care and the ability to examine and apply relevant concepts. The RN Educator works with all levels of staff, and a variety of health care providers. S/he will collaborate with leadership to analyze the clinical care patients receive to identify and determine educational needs. The RN Educator designs, coordinates and provides education and programs as educational opportunities are identified. S/he facilitates successful onboarding of clinical associates through training and competency validation to support safe care and an excellent experience. The Patient Experience Clinical Specialist represents AdventHealth Gordon and Murray and has frequent contact with patients, families, physicians, staff and the community. Must present a professional image with strong credibility and project a positive and helpful demeanor while working with patients, visitors, and staff. Deals sensitively and empathetically with patients and families who may be anxious or upset helping to create and maintain a positive image to the community. Daily contact dealing with sensitive/delicate, controversial, and confidential issues requiring diplomacy and a high degree of tact to help facilitate communication between patients and the hospital. Must have excellent communication skills. Keeps leadership informed of potential liability issues which may need to be addressed.
