Nursing Assistant (NA) provides direct day-to-day care of patients and families. With the direction of the Nurse Manager, and in collaboration with other members of the Patient Care Team, Nursing Assistants assist with the direct day-to-day care of patients and families. Performs a variety of non-patient care duties. Responsible for providing and maintaining positive interactions with every patient/family/visitor they encounter. Provides care specific to ages and development needs of patients, adults, geriatric, and adolescents. *How you’ll contribute* ANursing Assistant (NA) who excels in this role: · Participates in Patient Care Team’s delivery of personalized, efficient care with respect for patient’s spiritual and cultural differences. · Consider factors related to safety, effectiveness and cost in delivery of patient care. · Orients patient and family to room and call bell. · Upon admission, obtain initial vital signs, height and weight. · Records daily I & O, vital signs, and food intake into the electronic medical record. · Transports patients via appropriate means in a safe, dignified manner.
