The role involves documenting comprehensive patient evaluations from providers and maintaining accurate documentation. The nurse will review patient information to understand their needs and discuss outcomes with providers. This position requires collaboration with the nurse manager to create individualized care plans that prioritize patient comfort and well-being. Additionally, the nurse will educate patients and families about the discharge plan, discuss care strategies, and ensure smooth transitions. Educating patients, families, and healthcare staff to promote optimal health results is also a key responsibility.

The work is based on the 2 East Orthopedic and Neurology Unit, a 24-bed unit expanding to 48 beds in the coming year. Care is focused on medical surgical orthopedic and neurology patients, including ortho surgery, TIA and low acuity stroke, seizure disorders, and general medical surgical patients. The nurse to patient ratio is 1:5.
Shift Available
The position offers both day and night shifts with options for three 12-hour shifts or two 12-hour shifts, available in full-time and part-time capacities. The work is based on the 2 East Orthopedic and Neurology Unit, a 24-bed unit expanding to 48 beds in the coming year.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $29.30 - $42.10/hr.
