**Job Summary and Description:**
The candidate will perform the following duties:
+ Manages small or medium (less complex) projects including budgets and resources
+ Conducts research related to joining technologies and welding, repair and replacement activities programs.
+ Actively engaged in codes and standards related to welding, repair, and replacement activities.
+ Leads knowledge transfer research focus area for WRTC which includes strategy for training products and digital delivery of WRTC research.
+ Conduct and manage regional training offerings
+ Communicate strategies and results, written and verbal, to program members, potential members and external stakeholders through guidelines, reports, meetings, webcasts, workshops and conferences.
+ Manage information exchange survey process.
+ Conduct or assist in welding program assessments/benchmarking, as needed.
+ Provide engineering support and solutions to technical challenges that arise on a daily basis related to interpretation of codes and standards, repair and mitigation approaches, and other support.
+ Aids the EPRI sales staff in Member Services and EPRI International.
+ Broaden technical expertise and interface with national and international technical networks with manufacturers, consultants, academia and research organizations
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate should have a background in welding, materials, or metallurgy and experience managing welding and/or repair and replacement programs at a utility. Candidate should be knowledgeable about codes and standards such as ASME Section III, Section IX, and Section XI, and actively participate in various task groups, working groups, and sub-groups. The ideal candidate should be a demonstrated leader within an EPRI program, ASME Code Committee, or other industry forum. Additionally, the candidate must be able to work well in a team setting, take on various roles as needed by the project, be self-motivated, require little supervision, and be organized to handle multiple work activities in parallel. Finally, the candidate should be results-driven with a focus on high-quality research.
The salary range for this position is $135,000 USD to $150,000 USD annually.
This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on various factors, including without limitation applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.
This role is eligible to participate in EPRI’s annual incentive program. The amount of incentive varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the plan.
This role is eligible to participate in EPRI’s standard employee benefit programs, which currently include the following: medical, dental, vision, 401k, STD/LTD and paid family leave, life and accident insurance, paid time off (flexible vacation, sick leave, and holiday pay).
