Aspirus Rhinelander Hospital in Rhinelander, WI is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team!
Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist administers radioactive materials to perform imaging and dynamic function studies necessary to aid physicians in diagnosis and treatment of illnesses. Prepares radioactive isotopes, operates Nuclear Imaging, and performs a variety of nuclear tests. Comply with performance measures/activities to ensure that patient/customer satisfaction results are consistently maintained. Complies with and participates in maintaining an environment which supports our philosophy, mission, and values.
HOURS: Full Time or 1.0 FTE, 80 hours every pay period. Day shift Monday – Friday, 7am – 3:30pm
Experience/Qualifications
Knowledge of nuclear medicine standards and practices is normally acquired through graduation from a formal Nuclear Medicine program approved by ARRT or NMTCB.A minimum of one year of clinical experience in nuclear medicine imaging is beneficial to enhance and develop skills preferred but not required.ARRT (N) or NMTCBCurrent BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire - All clinical personnel in identified job codes are required to maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) training through independent study, online manikin, and knowledge testing. An acceptable training program is the Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider course from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Program with AED. (See Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Training Policy).Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and nuclear techniques, procedures, and equipment such as planar imaging, S.P.E.C.T. imaging, nuclear cardiology and computer processing.Demonstrates mature judgment and the ability to make appropriate decisions with a minimum of supervision.Maintains the highest degree of confidentiality regarding the operation and interaction of the department and the hospital.Site specific competencies in protocols, equipment, computer systems and applications.Employee Benefits
