Monmouth Heart and Vascular is looking to add a qualified full-time Nuclear Medicine Technologist Lead in Eatontown, NJ.

Graduate from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology programPreferred:
PET Experience a PlusTwo years hospital experience as a staff technologistCertifications and Licenses Required:
Must possess a current NJ State license, ARRT and/or NMTCBBLS certificationScheduling Requirements:
Day Shift, 40 hours/week (7:30 AM - 4 PM)Full Time ScheduleEssential Functions:
Performs all hot lab related functions such as receiving, using and discarding of Radio-pharmaceuticals following/applying vendor, departmental and DEP rules and regulations strictlyCalibrates the dose calibrator and performs QC procedures on gamma cameras per departmental protocols and notifies the lead tech of any malfunctions/issues promptlyIdentifies the patients both IP and OP per hospital SOP before starting any procedureExplains the procedure to the patient clearly including wait times and performs the procedure assuring maximum comfort to the patientObtains best possible images by using prescribed technical parameters and techniquesAssures that all tests are performed properly and test results are valid and accurate prior to the release of the patientAssists the nuclear physician with the implementation of special imaging proceduresStrives to maintain the department in a neat and clean conditionAccepts special assignments from supervisor and completes them on timeAbides by standards established by the hospital, state and federal regulatory agenciesPerforms all duties in a friendly and courteous manner offering assistance to physicians, patients, families, visitors and co-workersExtends courtesy and consideration to others in all interpersonal relationships, including telephone contactsDemonstrates the ability to respond to instruction from peers or superiors in order to complete department tasksDemonstrates the ability to determine the proper time to discuss differences in work strategyPerforms other departmental duties as prescribed by supervisory personnelWorks overtime when neededAssists in the performances of non-technical tasks within the departmentPerforms other duties as neededOther Duties:
