**Purpose:** Performs imaging procedures at an advanced level not requiring constant supervision. Competently performs a variety of advanced technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes. **Responsibilities:** + Monitors quality control activities and demonstrates advanced level of knowledge in nuclear medicine by providing patient care as defined by the most up to day protocols and procedures. + Interacts with patients and co-workers by displaying the values of caring, listening, dignity and respect. + Demonstrates the ability to function independently, and is able to cover off shifts, on-call responsibilities, and perform services at satellite facilities, where applicable, while continually communicating with lead and management team. + Performs all responsibilities of Level I Nuclear Medicine tech including maintains proper records of radiopharmaceuticals and calculates, measures and records patient dose. Performs all quality control checks on imaging and non-imaging equipment. Properly identifies all patients and provides instructions for exams. Competently performs all nuclear medicine exams and codes and tracks exams in RIS. + Assist with educating staff and student technologists to provide technical guidance and education. + Performs or assists Clinical Specialist in performing QA, regulatory testing, and other technical and research initiatives. + Participates in standardization activities with system-level workgroups. + Works directly with Radiologists regarding protocol development. Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology Program required. 2 Years nuclear medicine experience required.
