Job Description

Allied Universal® is looking to hire a Nuclear ISFSI Project Manager - Armed. The Project Manager is responsible for the physical protection of nuclear Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation (ISFSI) facilities against intrusion and acts of sabotage and provides supervision and oversight for all on-site security personnel while ensuring the ISFSI is properly staffed. The Project Manager validates and oversees training and has direct oversight of Human Resources and Administrative functions. To support and ensure success in this role, we provide a comprehensive, week-long management onboarding course designed to provide best practices, tools and guidance.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Act as the primary AUS contract representative on site and is responsible for compliance with all regulatory, client and AUS/RSS policies, procedures, and directivesAssess alarms, investigate, and report suspicious activities and/or circumstancesIdentify safety and/or fire hazards and make recommendations for improvementReport degradation, deficiencies, and accidents in accordance with current procedures and take appropriate corrective actions as directed by Security Force SupervisionControl access of personnel, vehicles and materials into the protected area and maintain appropriate logPerform all site and fire watch patrols and maintain appropriate logsPerform site maintenance as directed to include but not limited to snow removal, garbage removal, housekeeping, and landscaping duties Perform compensatory postings and escort duties as directed by Security Force Supervision and in accordance with current procedures and directivesPerform surveillance tests and inspections and test alarm and maintain appropriate logsWork varying shifts to cover a 24-hour/seven-day a week operation including mandatory overtimeParticipate in security drills, practical exercises and required training programs as directedMaintain periodic qualification of academic requirements including (Radiation protection, Access authorization, Emergency plan, etc.)Maintain periodic qualification of armed response, physical fitness, and weapon requirements, as required for ISFSI assignment.Adhere to regulatory fatigue orders and work hours tracking requirements relative to ISFSIEnsure house-keeping expectations are metMaintain all required qualifications for site accessWrite required reports, procedures, and keep records per procedure or as directed.Operate or supervise the operation of ISFSI equipment and controls important to safety including ISFSI storage casks, Transfer Cask Basket, and handling activities as applicable Determines ISFSI reportability and operabilitySupervises Security Officers and Security Supervisors (ISFSI Specialist I and II), Assistant Project Manager (ISFSI Specialist III), Facilities Specialist and Administrative Assistant and performs reviews and evaluations as applicableEnsures the ISFSI is properly staffedPerforms 10CFR 50.59 and 72.48 screens as directedOperates the ISFSI Site Diesel GeneratorPerforms duties of Emergency Director for Emergency Plan Implementation per Emergency Plan ProcedureMaintains electrical power to all vital ISFSI Site loadsPerform labor relations as applicableValidates and oversees training and efficiency of the security forceEnsures that inspections, audits, and tours are performedReviews positive identification and authorization access controls to ensure integrationAddresses discipline, violations, safety issues, and employee concerns

COMPENSATION:

Starting at $122,000-$132,000

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalentA valid state driver’s licenseAbility to obtain and maintain all necessary state or federal licensing requirementsPrior work experience with the supervision and administration of nuclear/ISFSI securityEducational or professional project management experience  Closing
