Are you living your life's work? **Entity: Clinical Care Associates** **Department: Sellersville Cardiology** **Location: Sellersville Cardiology - 670 Lawn Ave Ste 3A** **Hours: Part-Time** **Job Summary:** The Nuclear Cardiology Technologist assists the practice by performing nuclear cardiology testing on patients using radionuclides within Radiation Safety and the NRC guidelines and scans/processes nuclear studies using nuclear cameras and equipment. **Accountabilities:** + Conducts patient interviews and review history + Produces paperwork, charts, and billing information for each patient + Takes proper precautions to ensure patient and personal safety when working with radioactive materials + Follows regulatory requirements and universal precautions at all times + Perform nuclear cardiology testing on patients + Observes patients during procedure and while in the department and reports any unusual occurrences to appropriate personnel + Handling, calculating, and dispensing using proper techniques, precautions and maintaining records of all radioactive isotopes within NRC, DOT, and state guidelines + Ability to position, scan, and process patients/studies on all nuclear equipment. Performs quality control on all equipment and notifies manager when issues arrive. + Assists the providers in the reading of the nuclear studies and administration of these pharmaceutical stress agents + Places IV's if required + Participates and performs research studies when required + Assists with supply management (ordering, unpacking, and storing) + Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures + Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization **Qualifications:** + High School Diploma/GED (Required) + 2+ years experience in nuclear cardiology/nuclear medicine (Required) + Graduate of accredited Nuclear Medicine training/school (Required) + Associates Degree (Preferred) **Licenses, Registrations, and Certifications:** + CNMT and/or ARRT(N) certification (Required) + CPR certification (or obtained within 30 days of employment) (Required) We believe that the best care for our patients starts with the best care for our employees.
