The Opportunity:
We’re seeking a multitalented engineering professional specializing in enterprise application integration and deployment to join our NTCSS Advance Planning Group Team (NTCSS APG) in Norfolk Va. Your principal role will be to serve as the systems engineer for all ONE-NET (OCONUS) integration activities related to the deployment of the Naval Tactical Command Support System (NTCSS) in-service product line enterprise applications and related systems. The selected candidate will be responsible for the application of a structured process for deploying a newly developed or updated software and / or hardware releases into a live production environment. The scope includes the application of a structured process focused on meticulous planning, comprehensive documentation, rigorous testing, user training, and close coordination with the operations team to facilitate a seamless handover and minimize disruption to existing systems.

Responsibilities:
- Apply the principles of Enterprise Systems Engineering (ESE) to transform in-service product lines into Community of Interest (COI) solutions for integration to OCONUS sites and selected contractor afloat networks.
- Identify and document integration requirements within the context of enabling networking systems such as ONE-net, CANES, and ISNS Legacy networks.
- Collaborate with installation project engineers and developers to configure the software or hardware segment for the production environment
- Ensure that client updates are packaged and deployed to OCONUS sites in accordance with applicable interface control descriptions and defined assembly procedures.
- Collaborate with sustainment personnel in monitoring the software post-deployment for any issues
- Collaborate with other network engineers and installation project engineers to devise enterprise application transition strategies.
- Identify and document necessary network connections and dependencies.
- Ensure compatibility with other systems and services.
- Devise networking transversal strategies for the passage of data through various DoD networking boundaries.
- Ensure that required Ports, Protocols, and Services (PPS) usage is documented, authorized, and compliant with established policies and standards.
- Supervise the development and implementation of boundary change requests.
- Devise strategies for the migration of legacy systems to include the client segment into a cloud hosted (Azure) environment

Qualifications:

Required: 

U.S. Citizenship
- Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain a T5 investigation clearance
- Must have Ten (10) years of hands-on experience with software maintenance, including three (3) of the following five (5) areas: System Administration, Software Maintenance and Sustainment, Lifecycle Logistics, Systems Requirements, Operational Requirements, Test & Evaluation, and Training
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in the development and execution of ONE-Net system integration and Enterprise application projects
- Demonstrated understanding of the Navy Ports, Protocols, and Services Management (PPSM) Manual
- Advanced understanding of systems engineering principles.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with OCONUS enterprise networking and systems integration.
- Demonstrated knowledge of cloud computing platforms with an emphasis on Azure
- Demonstrated knowledge of (VMWare) Virtual machines related suite of Infrastructure products such as vSphere
- Demonstrated knowledge of Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- CompTIA Network + or Security + certification 
- Azure 104 Azure Administrator Certification 
- University Degree (BA/BS)

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$114,600-$252,100
