NPI Materials Manager
Job Description Insight Global is looking for an NPI Materials Manager to lead materials management for New Product Introduction (NPI) programs, ensuring supply chain readiness and execution from prototype through production. This role is ideal for a proactive, organized, and analytical team player who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about hardware development. What You’ll Do: NPI Leadership: Drive end-to-end supply chain readiness across EVT/DVT phases, from prototype builds to production launch. Process Excellence: Establish best practices for BOM management, supplier engagement, and material tracking. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Engineering, Program Management, and Operations to align priorities and ensure timely data flow. Supplier Management: Own relationships with key suppliers, mitigate material risks, and support complex builds (e.g., PCBs, sheet metal). Issue Resolution: Develop escalation paths and accountability frameworks for sourcing and technical decisions. Continuous Improvement: Identify process gaps and lead initiatives to streamline NPI workflows. Team Contribution: Demonstrate ownership, urgency, and clear communication while setting a positive example for the team. Skills and Requirements 5–7 years of experience in supply chain, operations, or manufacturing, with 2–3 years focused on hardware NPI. Strong analytical and organizational skills; ability to manage complex BOMs and spot gaps. Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and advanced spreadsheet skills. Comfortable in dynamic, high-growth environments. Experience in manufacturing or operations. Excitement for NPI and a proactive, independent work style.
