NPD Level III

Eaton’s AER FED Fluid Electrical Distribution division is currently seeking a NPD Level III.
**What you’ll do:**
**Primary Function:**
• Oversee the site NDT training program to qualify level II & I inspectors in FPI and CR.
• Support operations through timely disposition of internal and supplier related nonconforming materials found during manufacturing.
• Assign corrective actions as required to avoid recurrence of NDT defects.
• Perform internal audits of the Eaton special processes.
• Interact with external customers and suppliers as well as internal personnel at all levels of the organization.
• Participate in audits by customers and regulatory agencies for NDT.
• Maintain accurate records to comply with company and customer record retention requirements.
• Provide oversight of the methods being performed at the site to ensure they are being properly followed.
• Review and prepare work instructions, procedures, and NDT techniques.
**Essential Functions:**
• Effective management of the QA resources through Eaton Leadership Model.
• Work as a team with the support departments to define necessary actions to meet customer requirements.
• Support Eaton Initiatives and practices for the Development of People by using tools such as the Succession Plans, OCA, QLI, CIF, APQP and EBS tools.
• Provides Quality customer interface and expertise to proactively assure requirements are understood and satisfied, including assisting in complaint resolution and root cause and corrective action determination.
• Participates in the auditing of internal Quality Systems and completes part approval documentation to assure that customer requirements are met in new or modified products and processes, including Suppliers’ Quality Systems.
• Participates in product development and launch activities including identification of customer expectations, manufacturing and test support, reliability analysis, design reviews, evaluation of test programs, material testing.
• Participate in the Customer Scorecards Review and support actions to improve their satisfaction as applicable.
• Coordinate evaluations of the supplier's performance to address those where risks are being identified with the Supplier Quality Team.
**Qualifications:**
**Basic qualifications:**
• Current or prior documented Level III Certification for FPI and CR in accordance with NAS 410 or ASNT SNT-TC-1A
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering
• Bilingual English/ Spanish
• Computer Skills
• Blueprint reading knowledge.
• NADCAP Audit experience
**Preferred Specialized Knowledge (not required to be qualified for position):**
• Understanding of problem-solving methods (Six Sigma, 8D, root cause analysis)
• Good communication skills
• High Level of Interpersonal skill to work effectively with others.
• Knowledge of industry and customer specific quality registration schemes and certification processes (ISO9001, AS9100)
• Previous Aerospace experience preferred.
