The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision-making skills, while working both independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. The NP/PA will provide health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention, caring for patients ranging in age. Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others.
This position will assist in expanding patient access and providing exceptional care throughout our dedicated cardiology services.
The advanced care provider role may function within our Cardiac Centers of Excellence programs that cross both the in-patient and out-patient care deliveries to include patient follow ups, consults, and telehealth for our increasing same day access.
Our goal is to work at the top of the scope of practice with guidance and support including opportunity for procedures.
Expect collaboration with opportunity for specialized training, certification, and research.
The specific roles and responsibilities will advance with current initiatives.
This position will have a primary focus in cardiology within the Electrophysiology Service.
The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service while fostering positive relationships with a drive to develop skills and/or have experience with cardiology and/or electrophysiology including EP clinical patient management, EP lab expertise and skills.
Anticipated Schedule - Monday through Friday - no nights/weekends/call.
EDUCATION:
Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing or master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Current licensure as a registered nurse in Minnesota Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Minnesota Current certification in CPR. National certification, in applicable area. Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice.
