Join our team and help us keep communities connected. **Your Opportunity** The Raleigh, NC office is looking for a Roadway Group Lead to grow our Roadway Team. The Group Lead will focus on management of roadway design projects related to transportation infrastructure. You will join a full service Stantec team that is successfully delivering quality plans for NCDOT, municipalities, and developers. Stantec is looking for an experienced project manager with North Carolina roadway design experience to work alongside our other senior transportation engineers in a collaborative and professional environment to help grow and mentor our younger professionals and deliver projects with the high quality our clients have come to expect. The successful candidate will lead project teams in the development and delivery of designs for transportation projects of varying scope and complexity. Come join our Transportation Team and work alongside others who share your passion to support communities through exciting and unique projects. **Your Key Responsibilities** + Train and lead junior staff in the preparation of roadway plans, specifications, and estimates for transportation projects. + Serve as project manager and/or roadway task lead for multiple projects. Establish and track project scopes, schedules, and budgets. Projects may include multi-discipline projects where it will be necessary to engage team leads for other disciplines such as signals or structures, as well as engage and manage subconsultants. + Actively participate in the marketing and business development process by developing and maintaining client relationships, participating in Go/No-Go decisions, and assisting with project pursuits, proposals, and client interviews. + Review project designs and deliverables for conformity to documented commitments, standards, and for quality assurance. + Mentor, lead, and inspire junior staff in the roadway team and the Raleigh transportation team as a whole. Set an example of enthusiasm and professionalism. + Serve as a technical specialist or advisor in the field of roadway design as needed. + Provide direction and coordinate staff necessary to complete assignments. + Other duties as assigned. **Your Capabilities and Credentials** + Direct experience in roadway design for transportation projects, preferably in North Carolina + Direct experience in the management of transportation projects or task leadership of roadway design on transportation projects, preferably in North Carolina + Experience with both NCDOT and NC municipal projects a plus. + Proficiency or experience with Bentley Open Roads Designer. + Proficiency or experience with MS Project a plus. + Effective written and oral communication skills, ability to multi-task, attention to detail. + Enthusiasm and ability to make new connections both internal and external to Stantec. **Education and Experience** + Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering + Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensed in the State of North Carolina (or ability to obtain within 6 months) + A Minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in transportation infrastructure projects is preferred. Position will primarily work in an office setting; may require some field work. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
