Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland and East Central Ohio is hiring a Baler Operator to join our team at our North Canton warehouse. This position involves operating baling equipment to efficiently process and tie off textiles while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment. You will also handle materials weighing from 275 to 1130 lbs, assist with dock operations, and ensure the quality of bales. Key Responsibilities + Safely load and operate the baler, ensuring only appropriate textiles are processed. + Transport 275-500 lb. gaylords to the baler area and move completed bales (1130 lbs.+) to the shipping area. + Collaborate with the lead aftermarket coordinator to maintain equipment and ensure quality standards. + Adhere to all safety and security policies. Keep work areas clean and orderly. Wear required PPE. + Properly dispose of specific trash in designated dumpsters or compactors. + Meet a minimum daily production target of 7 bales per shift. + Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor. Required Qualifications + Tow motor experience required. + Ability to judge distance, speed, and movement of objects accurately. + Tow motor certification required. + High School diploma preferred. Work Environment & Physical Requirements This safety-sensitive position requires frequent standing, walking, stooping, and lifting. Must be able to perform physical requirements of the position including but not limited to frequent standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping/bending, crouching/squatting, bilateral reaching at all levels; bilateral handling and fingering, fine fingering and simple grasping ability; occasional sitting and kneeling; frequent lift/carry up to 10 lbs., occasional lift/carry 51-100 lbs.; must be able to push/pull heavy objects, with or without mechanical assistance if needed.
