As a North America Planning and Reporting BPA Manager supporting the Business Planning & Fin. Analysis Team, you will drive financial planning, reporting, and analysis activities within the North America region. This role will work closely with the North America Business Planning and Reporting BPA Sr. Manager to drive business growth and establish definitive ways of working across the markets and the overall region. The key responsibilities include conducting and process improvement in the month-end close, monthly forecasting, yearly target, strat plan, and preparation of presentations and ad-hoc reporting.
In this role, a typical day will include:
Conduct the monthly, quarterly, and annual FP&A processes for the market/franchise, including management reporting, statutory reporting, variance analysis, commission reporting, and forecasting.Assist in POs as needed. Improve efficiency and effectiveness in deliverables.Collaborate in MFRs / QBRs, including templates, deck preparation, variance analysis, insights, comments, and presentation. Consolidate inputs from business partners and craft consistent story/messaging.Serves as data provider to management, ensuring that teams under their leadership have the correct information to make data-driven decisions.Assist with the maintenance and usage of reporting tools and financial models.Assist in managing the annual TFC budget and Headcount and personnel cost reporting for the market.Management responsibilities include coaching, performance management, career development, and resource allocation.Ad-hoc analysis, financial modeling, consolidation, or related duties as required or assignedEnsure adequate accounting, reporting, and control systems are in place to reach proper levels of forecast accuracy, to be able to identify and inform of potential risks and opportunities, and to ensure delivery of productivity targetsDisciplined use of financial systems (ASPIRE, APMR, SAP, etc.) to manage and perform analytical analysis of financial resultsOwnership and accountability of data integrity Identify, prioritize, and lead process improvements to drive value creationSupport the Planning and Reporting Sr. Manager in deliverables, including template design, ad-hoc analysis, etc.WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related analytical disciplineAt least 3-5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) rolesExceptional analytical abilities, capable of using data tools to drive decision-making and managing large pools of data in ExcelIn-depth knowledge of SAP & BI tools and practical experience analyzing data, program metrics, and performanceDemonstrates complex problem resolution proficiency and the ability to identify/implement process and system enhancementsProactive communication style with the ability to build/foster relationships with business partnersProven leadership, analytical, influencing, and problem-solving skills combined with the ability to identify risks and impacts and possible solutions and corrective actionsExcellent written and verbal English skills, along with quantitative, interpersonal, and analytical skillsHOW YOU CAN THRIVE AT ALCON:
