North America Operations Controller

As a North America Operations Controller, you'll be part of our North America accounting/finance team, working with operational leadership to prioritize and align operational initiatives to support the achievement of Appleton’s objectives. This opportunity is based in Appleton Group’s Global HQ in **Rosemont, IL** with the **flexibility to work remotely** up to one day a week. **In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:** + Supervise the development and alignment of our production and financial plans for our six North America manufacturing/operation centers + Develop financial analyses to isolate price, inflation and mix impacts on each operation to better assess underlying operating performance + Coordinate capital planning for our manufacturing and procurement operations + Prepare financial analyses including NPV and IRR evaluations to help management prioritize investments across our global business + Own the operational planning process by working with plant and operations management in the development of cost improvement initiatives over the 1-4 year planning horizon + Work with engineering management to integrate engineering cost improvement programs into operations financial plans + Support period financial close through variance analyses, standard cost reviews and analysis, account reconciliations and transactional reviews + Provide Appleton management with financial commentary regarding operational performance vs forecasts and prior years + Provide financial and analytical support to Appleton leadership and Emerson staff as and when required **Who You Are:** Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives. Interpreting and applying key financial indicators to make better business decisions. Crafting and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the outstanding needs of different audiences. Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during the annual merit review process.
