Commercial Manager - Offshore Tenders & Contracts

Position Overview

Weatherford is seeking a Commercial Manager to serve as the primary coordinator and strategic leader for all North America offshore tender activities. This role will provide market insights and actionable intelligence while managing the complete tender response lifecycle across our three product segments – Drilling and Evaluation, Well Construction and Completions, and Production and Intervention. The Commercial Manager will be responsible for the leadership of the Commercial operation process across their respective geography, driving efficient tender and contract management through the Commercial Operations teams while supporting the Sales/Commercial function, Product Lines, Geozones, and leadership to drive revenue growth, customer satisfaction, product line development, and operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

Tender & Contract Management

Serve as the primary liaison between Geozone Leadership, Sales teams, and Commercial Operations Center (CoC) for all North America Offshore tendered work Project manage all existing tender response actions with clear guidance on delivery timing and response format Date manage and align pursuit actions for future tenders while instilling pre-tender planning discipline Maintain comprehensive database of tender responses and associated learning (win/loss reasoning, competitive landscape, pricing guidance) Develop and maintain a library of Best Practices on BSA presentation submissions Ensure the tendering process complies with Weatherford's contracting policy within the Geozone Lead contract management tools, processes and best practices, including contract handovers and audits

Commercial Operations

Drive the development of proposal win strategies in collaboration with Country and Geozones teams Continuously improve RFP responses with creative and fresh perspectives on deliverables including Quality, Safety, Sustainability and other key differentiators Provide significant support for Technical Sales Managers (TSMs) with high-level product technology expertise Assist in developing alternative performance-based deliverables Maintain understanding of commercial and delivery terms, advocating for the most beneficial terms for Weatherford Proactively model commercial alternatives and standardize pricing schemes Own the Geozone's SFDC Commercial Operations Dashboards to manage/identify workload Obtain all required approval reviews and approval routings in Salesforce for proposal submissions

Market Intelligence & Analysis

Develop an actionable market and strategic intelligence to support sustainable, profitable growth Incorporate internal and external data to build insights, identify market opportunities and risks Design and execute robust, scenario-based market opportunity sizing Collaborate with leadership on market penetration strategies Support Sales/Commercial and Marketing functions with customer lists, target groups, and campaign effectiveness measurements Co-develop data tools, dashboards, and communication tools leveraging latest technologies Facilitate "After Action Reviews" such as Win/Loss Analysis and CPARs to capture lessons learned Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze historical data and trends

Communication

Maintain effective communication with all key stakeholders, providing best-in-class engagement Act as the Senior Commercial Operations Manager's point of contact for the structural tendering process Provide best-in-class engagement with clients throughout the tendering and contractual process Develop and maintain productive relationships with all key Geozone stakeholders Support key stakeholders by liaising with Legal, Tax, Credit, Risk departments, product lines and operations Hold periodic meeting updates with the Senior Commercial Operations Manager regarding workload and activities Clearly communicate expectations, roles and responsibilities to reports

Financial Management

Actively contribute ideas and suggestions to increase tender win rate and favorable contract execution Be financially responsible with own expenses and oversee that of reports Ensure costs incurred are within the approved budget and follow relevant financial policies

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Law, Engineering, Marketing, Operations Management, or equivalent experience

Experience

7+ years of experience in sales, marketing, proposal management, product line, commercial operations and/or contract management in the Oil and Gas market Experience with tender management and response coordination in the offshore sector is highly desirable Oil and gas, oilfield services, energy, or industrial manufacturing industry experience preferred

Skills & Abilities

Power user of Microsoft 365 suite, especially key scenario and data modeling tools Experience with data management and visualization tools preferred Exceptional project management capabilities with ability to coordinate multiple tender responses simultaneously Good understanding of offshore operations and associated technical requirements Ability to translate complex technical information into compelling commercial proposals Clear understanding of probability analysis and the BSA tool Demonstrated resilience, persistence and creative passion in building trust with stakeholders

Travel Requirement

This role may require domestic and potentially international travel up to 10-25%.
