Reporting to the Division Controller, this role serves as a key business partner to enable above average market growth and operational efficiency.  In addition, this leadership role is responsible for managing the U.S. accounting and finance organization. 

Essential Job Responsibilities:

Planning, reporting and analysis

Oversee the monthly and quarterly financial close process for the North America business unit, including preparation of financial reports and outlooksServe as a key participant in major financial decisions impacting the North America regionDeliver proactive internal reporting by identifying potential risks and opportunities, and recommending strategic solutionsFinancial analysis of actual results, highlighting variances to key strategic plans and forecastsMonthly management information reporting including presentation of results to internal managementCreate accurate financial forecasts and support the preparation of Annual and Long-Range PlansEnsure compliance with ITW policies and procedures, including the execution of effective control processes and support for both internal and external auditsCollaborate closely with the Divisional Controller on financial planning, reporting, consolidation and analysisSupport the successful deployment and integration of a new ERP system

Management

Mentor and manage a three-person finance team, providing direction and support in key accounting functions such as accounts payable, inventory management, invoicing, and accounts receivable.Leverage and drive the Front to Back 80/20 Business Process and Toolbox principles within the organization to drive growth, enhance efficiency and eliminate complexity from the business processesEnsure the organization operates within all Corporate financial and compliance guidelines

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting required with a minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in a financial reporting or audit role.  Experience in reviewing and supervising accounting areas such as accounts payable, inventory, invoicing/accounts receivable and payroll. Masters in accounting or CPA Preferred.Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to operate as a strategic business partnerProven ability to perform budgeting and forecasting, as well as drive simplification and continuous improvement within the businessDemonstrates effective use of financial analysis techniques and tools to provide advice to cross-functional areas and drive business resultsExperience developing and managing direct reports within the finance function.Ability to foster collaborative, effective relationships at all levels of the organizationProficiency in accounting software and highly skilled in Excel; intermediate knowledge of Word and PowerPoint.  Experience with Power BI or Acumatica ERP is a plusWillingness to travel domestically at least 4 times per year

Compensation Information:

The compensation package for the role offers a competitive base salary ranging from $105K - $130K annually. This position is eligible to participate in the annual incentive plan.
