Job summary:
The Nordic Center Specialist will be part of a team of employees to maintain and improve the network of trails, as well as lead the team to give tours and guest activities. A high degree of guest service and experience with cross-country skiing and snowshoeing is preferred.

Starting Wage: $20.00/hr $21/hour

Job Responsibilities:
Provides lessons and guided tours in one or more of the following areas: cross-country skiing, skate skiing and snowshoeing.
Enhances the guest experience through application of teaching and communication skills.
Answering phones, issuing skis & snowshoes to guests renting
Making sure all the Liability Forms are filled out,
Matching equipment with level of performance of renters, helping and instructing how to get in/out of the bindings.
General cleanup of the place at the end of the day, includes vacuuming, taking out garbage, answering and confirming all scheduled programs for the next day.
Knowledge of center and mountain, other trails in vicinity.
Knowledge of all our groomed trails.
Team communication
Other duties as assigned
**PSIA Nordic Center certifications or equivalent experience is required.
Job Requirements:
High School or equivalent
General interest in the sport and knowledge of different techniques.
Must be a cross-country skier or snow-shoer
Must know the different aspects of the sport.
Must know our trail system- and the county for additional destinations.
The expected pay range is $20.00/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
