Accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, our team performs more than 9,000 annual studies, using each result to help patients address distressing symptoms and effects. As a Polysomnographic Technician, you will assist your dedicated and expert caregivers in this area of treatment improvement. You will perform various diagnostic sleep studies, aiding in our mission to enhance quality of life and health for people across the globe. A caregiver in this position works evenings, from 12:00pm—8:30am.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Prepare patients and equipment for ordered testing.
Interview patients to determine sleep disorder issues and explain testing procedures.
Perform and document testing.
Monitor patient throughout testing and intervene as necessary to resolve patient needs or equipment issues.
Score, interpret and report results of sleep studies.
Prepare, calibrate, repair and maintain equipment required for testing.
Determine and report needed repairs/replacements.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
High School Diploma/GED
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)

Physical Requirements:
The employee complies with requirements of regulatory agencies, attends appropriate training and meetings, completes appropriate unit/department specific competency checklists, demonstrates knowledge and appropriate behavior related to regulatory safety requirements, communicates effectively verbally and in written format, complies with policies and procedures, follows Corporate Compliance Program, and reports actual or suspected violations promptly.
Physical Duties: This position requires a mixture of light to moderate work as defined in the Employee Health Services Policy.
Frequent standing, sitting, walking, reaching, stooping, and kneeling. Normal visual acuity is required.
Working Conditions: The employee will spend most of the time indoors in air-conditioned areas.
