Non-Inventory Area Manager I

Our Opportunity:
We are currently recruiting for a Non-Inventory Area Manager, Procurement for our fulfillment center in Mount Juliet, TN! We are looking for someone with the ability to assess inventory, negotiate pricing, and coordinate purchases!

What You'll Do:

Primary on-site procurement contact that will provide procurement operations support for fulfillment center(s) through purchase of non-inventory products and base building services, vendor management, and procurement related projectsLead and Develop a team of 4+ non-inventory receivers across multiple shifts (days/nights)Responsible for running over $30M+ yearly per FC led through active purchasing of non-inventory goods and servicesRun capital expenditure projects through PO creation and vendor management; project valuations from $10k to over $15MBecome a subject matter authority in several areas of indirect spend from material specs to industry knowledge of services to accurately assess projects and needs of the businessPartner with internal customers, such as Finance Manager or GM, to positively influence spending decisions, while developing measures for supervising savings and other helpful metricsNegotiate with vendors and suppliers to provide valuable cost savings to the overall business and create agreements and establish contracts as vitalProblem solves multiple areas with high level of speed and precision; from supplier performance and delivery to internal team delivery of products to operationsComplete indirect inventory ordering through a P2P cloud-based systemHave detailed knowledge of indirect inventory shipment tracking, receipt, and confirmation of PO delivery to meet metric expectationsMaintain on site procurement files including JI’s for teamComplete project initiatives by working cross functionally with multiple departments to drive savings and overall service level improvementsActively partner with AP, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely payment to vendors and resolve payment issues as they arriveUnderstand safety responsibilities of direct Team Members to ensure safe working environment

What You'll Need:

Bachelors in Business or related field OR 5+ years in related field2+ years of procurement experience for a fulfillment center or related area1+ years of managing onsite Team Members1+ years in vendor management including knowledge of negotiation, and expediting of servicesOutstanding written and verbal communication skills for effective problem solving and team managementComfort assessing teams needs by adjusting own hours as vital to meet with both day and night Team MembersExperience with Coupa, SAP, or other related P2P systems

Preferred Qualifications:

High adaptability to constant changing environmentStrong ability to remain self-motivated and lead team without direct manager oversightSupply Chain Background (e.g. logistics, inventory turn management, forecasting, operations)Position may require up to 25% travel
