Non-Financial Risk Sector Lead (Hybrid)

We’re seeking someone to join our team as a Non-Financial Risk Sector Lead who will be at the forefront of revolutionizing our non-financial risk systems. What you’ll do in the role:

This role will support and maintain relationships between the various technology providers and the business divisions of the bank. The role entails significant elements of relationship development and strategy.

Strategy and Insights

Provide curated content and perspectives on market innovation to CIOs and operating committee members through market landscapes, thought pieces and curated executive events.

Support strategic discussion and decisions on innovation priorities, providing advisory services relevant to the business units and technology teams.

Conduct market research and provide deep analysis on technology landscape from the Firm's providers and ecosystem to deliver actionable advice to Firm stakeholders.

Analyze market, industry, and technology trends and provide recommendations to internal and external clients based on findings.

Serve as a Non-Financial Risk subject matter expert as needed, sharing internal technology perspective with Senior IT decision makers, Investment Banking, Capital Markets (VC/PE), Institutional Investors, Equity Research, and key Firm clientele.

Relationship Management

Assess early to growth stage companies for potential partnership with the Firm. Demonstrate alignment and comprehension of our business and technology partners' priorities by identifying the most relevant disruptors and partners for the Firm.

Align on approach on portfolio of priority tech companies with relevant product owners, Application Development managers, Corporate Sourcing and client-facing partners and drive to agreed outcomes inclusive of assessing strategic fit, evaluations, deal coverage, mentoring and driving to product decisions

Ensure successful client and vendor interactions including setting agenda, aligning on intended outcomes, identifying relevant participants and carrying out meetings and events.

Handle and coordinate escalation of issues (contractual or operational) with vendors, ensuring suitable senior executives at the Firm and vendor are involved.

What you’ll bring to the role:

9+ years of experience with 5 years of hands-on technological/engineering experience with Fraud or Financial crimes solutions either at financial services organization or through consulting roles.

Deep understanding of data related tooling and concepts including Relational DBMS, NoSQL, and Time Series Databases, Big data processing engines, Data Integration platforms, Data Governance, Search Systems and technologies, Streaming Technologies, Business Intelligence Systems, Graphs and Graph Processing, and AI/ML solutions.

SQL, Python, or other programming experience

Understanding data protection techniques including encryption, access controls, masking and anonymization techniques, auditing, and monitoring

Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance requirements including AML And KYC.

Awareness of industry trends and key vendors.

Experience with market research, tooling, and business analysis. (ROI case studies, transformation business cases).

Experience in high intensity and challenging business environments.

Ability to communicate complex issues to decision makers and stakeholders.

Strong context switching capabilities, handing multiple priorities, and change.

Proven experience in business writing.
