Job Title: Non-Destructive Technician

Job Description

As a Level II Technician/Inspector, you will work across various job sites, including refineries, pipelines, and structural construction sites. Your role involves inspecting and testing different materials using methods such as Radiographic Testing (RT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), and Ultrasonic Testing (UT). You will be responsible for understanding the scope and limitations of the NDT methods utilized and providing training and guidance to assistants and Level I Technicians.

ResponsibilitiesSet up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment.Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities using NDT methods of inspection.Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate radiographs, CRT or digital readouts, conductivity meters, and visual indicators.Organize and report test results.Perform specialized inspections.May instruct and supervise others.Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management.Essential SkillsCertified Level II RT (SNT-TC-1A).Minimum of 1 year working experience within NDT.Experience with industry standards of NAS 410 and/or CP-189.Technical background in NDT methods and procedures.Ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections.Knowledge of NDT equipment.Experience in report writing.Additional Skills & QualificationsAdditional Level II RT, MT, PT, UTT, and CR certifications are preferred.High School Diploma or equivalent, with some college preferred.Work Environment

This role requires travel across Utah due to statewide projects. You will be paid for travel time to job sites. Work hours can range from 8 to 10 hours per day, depending on project needs. Some assignments may last a single day, while others may extend over months. You will work with leadership to plan job site assignments in advance. The work environment is blue-collared, requiring resilience and a strong work ethic. Typical work weeks are Monday through Friday.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $83200.00/yr.
