**Shift 1: 4am - 1pm**
Shift 2: 12pm - 9pm
**NOC Engineer (L1) Job Description –**
1. IT Operations Critical Response Coordination: Providing timely response to all incidents, outages, and performance issues.
2. Monitoring Tools: monitoring a wide variety of information and network systems.
3. Access Point Monitoring: Monitoring the availability of all Access Points on the WAB environment.
4. ISP Outage Management: Reporting ISP circuit maintenance incidents to the NOC L2 Network team.
5. Change Schedule Task: Tracking scheduled changes and incorporating them into a change tracker.
6. Maintenance Activity Tracker: Tracking maintenance activities performed on server and network.
7. Security Operations: Monitoring Forcepoint proxy servers to ensure least disruption in the network.
8. Control-M Monitoring: Monitoring scheduled jobs on a Control-M server and reporting job failures.
9. Daily Pulse Validation: Validating Proxy server and Network devices alerts on SolarWinds.
10. Monthly Capacity Management: Managing incidents aging more than seven days.
11. Key Risk Indicators (KRI): Validating the availability of platinum applications.
12. Knowledge-Base Articles: Creating and updating knowledge base articles and NOC runbooks.
13. Master Network Inventory: Maintaining a centralized paper CMDB of five towers.
14. Timely Assignments of Incidents: Monitoring active alerts and ensuring timely assignments.
15. Threshold Alteration Suggestion: Establishing suitable thresholds to prevent false positives.
16. Trends & Recommendation: Presenting trends and recommendations to assess the nodes of defaulters.
17. Drive toward first-touch remediation of incidents
**Preferred Qualifications:**
1. Bachelor's degree or graduate in computer science, systems analysis, or related studies.
2. Experience supporting and monitoring network systems, servers, or storage in an enterprise environment.
3. Broad experience using a variety of monitoring and ticket management tools.
4. Experience utilizing tools to monitor network uptime & availability such as Dynatrace/AppDynamics/ Thousand Eyes, NetBrain, LiveNX.
5. Familiarity with SolarWinds or Cimtrak is a plus.
6. Experience in incident management.
**Certifications Required**
1. Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent certification in networking.
