Position Overview
At Zelis, the NOC Engineer plays a crucial role in monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining the organization's computer networks. They are responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of network systems.Key Responsibilities:
Monitor network performance and ensure the availability of all network components.Respond to alerts and incidents in a timely manner to minimize downtime.Identify and resolve network issues, both proactively and reactively.Collaborate with other IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex problems.Document and track incidents, ensuring that they are resolved within established service level agreements (SLAs).Communicate effectively with end-users and stakeholders during incident resolution.Monitor network security systems to detect and respond to security incidents.Implement security measures to safeguard the network infrastructure.Manage and maintain network configurations.Implement changes and updates to network devices as needed.Identify opportunities for improving network performance and efficiency.Work on continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall network reliability.Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.Collaborate with other IT teams, vendors, and service providers to address network-related issues and implement changes.Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for network-related incidents.Qualifications:
3-5 Yeas relevant experience in NOCBachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.Relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or CompTIA Network+.Proven experience in network administration and troubleshooting.Knowledge of network protocols, security principles, and best practices.Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.Familiarity with network monitoring tools.
