NNP / NPA Supervisor
+ ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES + Functions in an advanced clinical role to provide care/education to a group of staff, patients, families and/or community. + Provides patient and staff education/support/mentorship, clinical oversight/supervision, and participates in unit based activities to include but not limited to quality improvement, scheduling, NNP/PA staff development and evaluations. + Serves as a resource for clinical expertise and insight. + Works collaboratively with key professionals within the organization on human resources, performance improvement and fiscal management activities. + Performs other duties as assigned. + LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS + Current Virginia state license as a Registered Nurse or Registered Nurse holding a valid Compact State license or current Virginia license as Physician’s Assistant. + Requires an advanced degree and current Neonatal Nurse Practitioner certification from the National Certification Corporation (NCC) or advanced degree and certification from the Physician Assistant National Certifying Exam. + CPR training required and/or must be obtained within 45 days of hire. + MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS + Must provide record of a completed diploma (or equivalent) or academic transcript for those areas performing complexity testing. + Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice at a level normally acquired through the completion of an accredited School of Nursing. + Pediatric experience preferred. + WORKING CONDITIONS + Normal patient care environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like.
