*NJ BARRED* In House Counsel
Description We are looking for an experienced *NJ Barred* In House Counsel to join our team in Parsippany, New Jersey. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in managing legal matters related to commercial contracts, corporate law, and contract negotiations. This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed attorney to contribute their expertise in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Responsibilities: • Analyze, draft, and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including but not limited to sales, procurement, software licensing, service-level agreements, marketing partnerships, sponsorships, logistics, real estate transactions, and confidentiality agreements. • Partner with key internal stakeholders such as marketing, finance, and sales teams, as well as external parties, to ensure smooth contract negotiations and alignment with business objectives. • Provide broad legal counsel on various topics, including risk assessment, regulatory compliance, and internal policy-related concerns. • Oversee the contract lifecycle, from initial drafting and customization of templates to execution and finalization. • Address contract-related issues, including disputes, terminations, and renewal processes, ensuring adherence to legal and business standards. • Review and advise on marketing collateral to ensure alignment with applicable legal and regulatory standards. • Perform additional responsibilities and projects as designated by the General Counsel. • Mandarin/ English Bilingual is a plus. Requirements • 3-6+ years in commercial transactions (law firm, in-house, or combined). Preference for experience in purchasing agreements and the appliance industry. • NJ Licensed attorney with a valid legal practice certification with fluency in Mandarin and English being a plus. • Solid background in corporate law and contract negotiations. • Excellent knowledge of legal and regulatory compliance standards. • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail. • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Prior experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus. • Familiarity or interest in advising on marketing contracts and reviews, data privacy, and employment law is advantageous.
