Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manufacturing Engineer with a strong background in mechanical design and a passion for building flight-critical avionics systems. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional technical and analytical skills, with a proven ability to deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment. This role involves developing both 3D and 2D mechanical designs, supporting integration and testing, and driving continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and analyze 3D and 2D mechanical components for flight-critical avionics systems.Integrate, test, and troubleshoot mechanical and electronic assemblies.Develop and maintain detailed work instructions and standard operating procedures.Support both development and production programs across the product lifecycle.Ensure continuous material flow and manage systems to support manufacturing lines.Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.Required QualificationsMinimum 4 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a related field.At least 1 year of hands-on experience with mechanical/electronic system integration and troubleshooting.Proficiency in CAD tools such as SolidWorks or Siemens NX/Unigraphics.Strong technical writing skills for creating documentation and procedures.Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.Experience with automated manufacturing processes, including assembly and testing.Familiarity with QTP/ATP, functional testing, and environmental testing (thermal, acoustic, vibration).Formal training or certification in Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, or other Operational Excellence methodologies.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.Excellent communication and leadership skills.Work EnvironmentThis is an onsite role based in Redmond, WA or Kirkland, WA. You will be part of a dynamic and collaborative team working on the development and production of a next-generation of product. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to innovative and impactful aerospace projects.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $66.70 - $66.70/hr.
