Pay Range: $36.26 - $54.40 / hour
Additional components of compensation may include:

POSITION SUMMARY:
Plans, evaluates and administers Speech Therapy services and care to patients per physician’s orders. Participates in continuous quality improvement activities and educational experiences in support of departmental philosophy and objectives, as well as, Health System initiatives. Coordinates family involvement in assessment and treatment of the patient.
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
Masters degree in Speech Language pathology. Participates in educational programs on an ongoing basis and completes mandatory CEUs as required. Has certificate of clinical competence through the American Speech & Hearing Association (ASHA) or eligible to complete Clinical Fellowship year with proper supervision.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
Current license from the State of Illinois. An applicant for employment as a physical, occupational, or speech therapists must present acceptable evidence of licensure. An applicant who fails to provide this documentation will not be hired. A new employee will not be allowed to work as a therapist or assistant until evidence of licensure eligibility is provided. CPR certification required.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Successful completion of annual clinical, age and job specific competencies and skill verification tools required. Familiarity with relative value and limitation of equipment. Must be skilled in a broad range of modalities with clear understanding of indications and contradictions for each. Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing in a caring, considerate and concerned manner. Willingness to accept responsibility. Ability to direct technical, assistant staff and students and organize work assignments. Leadership skills essential to the position.
