Schedule: Hybrid Schedule (post 90-day successful employment)
Salary Range: $70,00 to $75,000
Position Overview:
The Sr. Job Developer is a passionate advocate for individuals facing barriers to employment. This role requires a deep understanding of the challenges underserved populations face and a commitment to connecting them with opportunities for economic empowerment. The Sr. Job Developer will cultivate and manage relationships with employers across diverse industries to identify job opportunities and promote the hiring of program participants across our 8 training and supportive services programs. The Sr. Job Developer will work across functional lines to ensure client placement and retention goals are met.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
+ Manage/work with job developer(s) and retention specialist(s) to ensure team tracks and report client progress in Salesforce database and meet monthly/quarterly goals
+ Design and deliver engaging workshops and training sessions on topics such as job readiness, resume writing, interview skills, workplace etiquette
+ Provide individualized career counseling and guidance to program participants, addressing their unique challenges and supporting their career goals
+ Assist participants with job search strategies, resume and cover letter development, interview preparation, and navigating workplace dynamics
+ Establish, develop and maintain strong relationship with employer partners, including Project Renewal HR Department and Project Renewal sites, to assist in filling vacancies with qualified candidates
+ Coordinate monthly/cohorts 'recruitment and hiring events with employer network
+ Verify employment and monitor employer and client relationship
+ Obtain employment verification for various contract milestones
+ Manage a case load and meet with clients individually to develop a customized job search plan
+ Prepare accurate and timely performance and statistic reports and completion of required contract documents
+ Represent Project Renewal at job fairs and other public forums
+ Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
+ HS Diploma or equivalency (BA degree preferred)
+ Must have 3 - 5 years' experience in workforce development working with vulnerable populations, including individuals who have histories of homelessness, justice involvement, substance use, and mental illness
+ Demonstratable career counseling, employment and partnership development skills
+ Strong management skills required, including experience with managing in a performance-based environment
+ Experience in planning and forecasting to achieve outcomes; track record meeting job placement goals
+ Strong networking and relationship-building skills
+ Excellent facilitation, presentation and communication skills with the ability to inspire and engage adult learners
