NewsNation is looking for a Part-Time TEMP Producer to work on its weekly show with host Batya Ungar-Sargon. The producer plays a lead role in managing creation of the show's rundown and preproduces segments for the program.
Duties & Responsibilities:

Works with the Executive Producer and Anchor to drive editorial focus of show.Creates the show's rundown and manages workflowPitches segments and story ideasResearch topics using the Internet, video archives, and other information sourcesSelects strongest possible elements to help best tell storiesPrepares or edit questions for guest segmentsWrites clear, compelling and strong editorial copy in host's voiceWorks with talent on taped pieces and elementsPerforms other tasks as assigned by news management

Requirements & Skills:

 Five to ten years of experience in national or major-market newsBA/BS degree or equivalent degree in journalism or related field.Strong writing and editorial skills required.Ability to create dynamic graphic and video elementsMust be self-directing, self-motivating and able to work will with a diverse group of people Interact well with on-air talent, news managers, videographers, production, digital and engineering staff Detail-orientedExcellent verbal, written, grammar and analytical skillsExhibit strong news judgmentHandle stress, including short deadlinesWork at a computer for extended periods of time Must be able to work assigned shifts and be on call during some holidays

Salary Range: $32.50 – $37.50
