The Newscast Director coordinates the efforts of all technical operators during newscast and other live and recorded productions.

Prepare and execute the operation of Ross Overdrive and robotic cameras systems for live newscastWorks with the news producers to deliver a clean and high energy newscastAct as a liaison between the engineering and production departments.Must be a problem solver and quick thinker, using technical know-how and strong communication skills to resolve existing issues and to work around problems that arise during live broadcasts.Possess strong communication skills and the ability to work well with others under intense pressure and/or long hours of breaking news.Must be a strong self-starter, team player, and goal oriented.Performs other duties as assignedCandidate must be willing and able to work any/all shifts, including morning, weekends, & holidays.

Requirements & Skills:

High school diplomaFluency in EnglishExcellent communication skills, both oral and writtenMinimum two years’ experience in news operations and production.Proficiency with computers, telephones, and other office equipmentProficiency with broadcast control equipment
