NEWS & SPORTS INTERN (FTC – 6 months)

Areas of Responsibility
Key elements and required results of the role
Assist News&Sports department in researching, gathering, and verifying information for news stories,Participate in brainstorming sessions for story ideas and contribute innovative concepts for news coverage,Attend the courses given by Now News Academy,Collaborate with reporters and correspondents to conduct interviews and gather footage for news segments,Assist in script writing, editing, and proofreading for news broadcasts and digital platforms,Support the production team and directors during live broadcasts, including coordinating live connections, following up prepared videos in line with rundown etc.Monitor news feeds, social media platforms, and other sources for breaking news updates and potential story leads,Perform administrative tasks as needed, including organizing files, maintaining databases, and managing correspondence.Experience and Professional Qualifications Required
4th year University students, University graduates (graduation within the past year) or Master students,Currently enrolled in a degree program related to journalism, broadcasting, communications, or a related field,Strong interest in news media, current events, and storytelling,Excellent written and verbal communication skills,Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with diverse colleagues,Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with newsroom software and tools is a plus,English proficiency is a must.Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, early mornings and weekends,Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.Previous experience or coursework in journalism, broadcasting, or media production is preferred but not required.- Able to work full time 3 days a week in school periodCompetencies Required
