KRQE-TV News 13, is looking for a creative and detail-oriented News Producer to join our team in Albuquerque, NM. This role is central to shaping daily newscasts across all platforms — crafting compelling stories, balancing hard news with features, and ensuring smooth, engaging broadcasts.

Produce daily newscasts for broadcast across television, digital, and social platforms.

Write and order news stories, teases, and other broadcast elements.

Approve scripts and guide newsroom content decisions.

Time live news programs and ensure smooth transitions.

Edit video and prepare packages for air.

Write, edit, and post stories to the station website and other eMedia platforms.

Interact with viewers and audiences through social media engagement.

Collaborate with anchors, reporters, and production staff to deliver impactful storytelling.

Perform other duties as assigned.
 

Journalism degree, Communications, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and work experience).

Minimum of two years of experience in news operations.

Fluency in English with excellent oral and written communication skills.

Strong editorial judgment with the ability to balance breaking news and features.

Proficiency in newsroom systems, editing software, and standard office equipment.

Ability to meet tight deadlines, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize effectively.

Flexibility to work any shift, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
