What's the role?
As a News Producer for Sky News Australia, you'll write and produce dynamic, accurate and engaging news content. You will edit and assemble vision and packages for assigned stories and breaking news, ensuring all content is error free and delivered to tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
Write copy and edit vision to create engaging and accurate news content. This includes LVOs, VSVs, live crosses, overlay, supers and straps.
Create straps, supers and other graphic elements, using VIZ
Cut overlay, LVOs and grabs using the Quantel program, and loading into ENPS shelves
Build news graphics to support coverage
Liaise with reporters in the field to coordinate all aspects of their live crosses
Assist in the edit of field packages assemble viz elements
Write news lines to appear in the on-air ticker
Line produce rundowns from the control room where required
Ensure all content meets legal requirements, in consultation with necessary stakeholders
Complete and comply with all News Corp and ANC policies, including ANC’s Social Media Policy, News Corp Global Standards etc.
Report any breaches of News Corp or ANC policies to the relevant parties
Who are you?
Excellent writing and editing skills
Excellent organisational and interpersonal communication
Sound editorial judgement
Excellent time management skills, the ability to multitask and work to strict deadlines.
Flexible work schedule and understanding that this is a 24/7 newsroom that may require you to work early mornings/nights and weekends.
