Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('SpinCo') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. Job DescriptionThe News Producer will be responsible for contributing with the editorial line of the newscasts pitching daily stories for the Mexico bureau correspondents. Candidate will work in the production of reports and will be responsible for booking interviews and gathering elements. Candidate must have a strong editorial background and good writing skills in Spanish. Candidate would need to multitask and work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment with the willingness to work early morning shift, nights, weekends and have flexible hours for last-minute scheduling changes.
Responsibilities
Responsible for proposing daily news stories for newscasts,Works in the daily production of news stories and special reports with correspondents gathering all elements.Books daily and exclusive interviews for correspondents and/or Telemundo’s news anchors.Conducts research for interviews.Books guests for special coverage or special reports.Strong sense of how to write and visually tell a compelling story.Builds contacts with political entities, organizations or community groups.Able to request graphics with editorial information for packages.Coordinates news permits for interviews on location and special recordings.Works in collaboration with News Linear and News Digital teams, Assignment Editors, Reporters, and production crewsWorks under the supervision of Mexico’s bureau chief and also works with the director of newsgathering, assignment desk, executive producer and producers.Able to work in the changing environment of the newsroom and also be flexible with the work schedule.Some traveling might be necessary in case of breaking news.
