A leading international shipping company is seeking a Newbuilding Superintendent to join their ship management team. This role focuses on supervising newbuild projects, with a strong preference for candidates who have prior experience working in international shipyards.

What you’ll be doing: Reviewing ship designs and technical specs Approving project drawings and helping shape practical, cost-effective solutions Working closely with class societies, flag states, and other authorities Getting involved in negotiations and reviewing drawings and 3D models Attending FATs and sea trials Supporting site teams and keeping things running smoothly Reporting to the Head of Newbuilding & Projects What we’re looking for: Marine engineering degree Time at sea as Chief or 2nd Engineer Experience with newbuild projects, ideally on-site at shipyards Some knowledge of budgeting and project reporting Confident communicator with solid negotiation skills Fluent in English (German’s a bonus) Ready to travel internationally when needed What’s on offer: A varied, hands-on role with real responsibility A supportive team and flat hierarchy Plenty of learning and development opportunities Competitive pay and a solid benefits package
