New Equipment Sales Director Nordics

In short, Carrier’s greatest assets are the expertise, creativity and passion of our employees – and we’re excited for you to join the team.** We are currently looking for a dynamic and experienced Nordics New Equipment Sales Director to spearhead our sales activities and operations in our Commercial Building HVAC new equipment business (e.g. chillers, heat pumps, air handling units, roof top units, fan coil equipment etc). This individual will be responsible for driving profitable sales growth, expanding market share, building and maintaining relationships with key clients, and leading a team of sales professionals to achieve and exceed targets in a high-performance environment. **Key Responsibilities** + **Develop and Implement Sales Strategies:** Design and execute local strategic sales plans to expand the company's customer base and ensure its strong presence in the market. Responsible for the creation and implementation of a Nordics area sales strategy designed to grow the business more than double-digit growth year on year. + **Lead the Sales Team** : Recruit, select, retain, train, and mentor a large sales team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement. + **Client Relationship Management:** Establish and maintain strong relationships at a senior level with key clients, distributors and specifiers, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions. + **Market Analysis and Monitoring:** Conduct thorough market research and analysis to stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and potential opportunities. + **Performance Tracking:** Set performance metrics, monitor sales activities, and report on sales performance against targets. Mange seller performance to achieve results. + **Budget Management:** Manage the sales budget, ensuring cost-effective operations and maximizing return on investment. + **Customer Feedback and Satisfaction:** Gather and analyse customer feedback to improve products, services, and customer satisfaction. Track and improve NPS scores. + **Accurate Sales Forecasting:** Ownership of the Nordics area new equipment sales and orders targets, monthly forecasting, and the team performance to achieve and execute rapid growth. + **Sales Activity/Cadence:** Ensures sellers are executing sales activity aligned to the growth plan. Establishes a regular and rigorous sales cadence in measuring sales activities to achieve orders plan. + **Seller Productivity:** Delivery of year-on-year productivity improvements with sellers. + **Sales Growth Initiatives:** Coordinates the achievement of sales initiatives and new product launch plans including sales targets, and key performance indicators. + **Pricing and Margins:** Develops action plans to improve price performance and improve sold gross margins to contribute towards a sustained improvement in profit. + **Sales Territories:** Reviews sales coverage to ensure resources are utilized effectively by matching them to verticals, territories and customers which maximize sales opportunities. + **Sales Coaching:** Performs sales call coaching sessions with each member of the sales management team and ensures sales coaching is embedded across the sales organisation + **Performance Management:** Provides timely feedback and performance management to individuals within the sales team. Ensures improvement plans are implemented when needed. + **Reporting/KPI’s/Metrics:** Implements robust management cadence and rigor on reporting, benchmarking, KPIs, and other metrics in full alignment with business expectations. + **Cashflow:** Support business priorities of customer cash collection, DSO reduction, favourable payment terms, and reducing customer disputes. + **Pipeline:** Develops, maintains, and manages a strong pipeline of sales opportunities with high conversion rates to ensure an accurate forecast of order bookings, revenue, and sales initiatives. + **Pipeline Reviews:** Regularly reviews and coaches on opportunities in the sellers’ pipeline. + **Seller Sales Plans** : Ensures Territory Plans and Account Plans are in place and regularly maintained and reviewed. + **Sales Support** : Leads and manages sales support individuals to drive a high level of customer satisfaction with year over year improvements in team efficiencies. + **Presentations and Proposals:** Assists with the development and presentation of important sales presentations/proposals for high value opportunities. + **Executive Sponsorship:** Engages in the executive sponsorship of key or targeted customers at a senior level. + **Sales Tools:** Supports the implementation and adoption of business tools including Salesforce, S4 Hana, CPQ, and SIP automation. + **Seller Performance:** Monitors sales metrics, implements actions to improve sales performance and identify opportunities for growth. + **Collaboration:** Works with other senior leaders in the business to implement initiatives and programs focused on enhancing sales efficiency, profitability and effectiveness. Work closely with other departments (e.g., marketing, factories, product development etc.) to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives. + **Standard Work:** Supports best practice through the adoption of standard work and processes. + **EH&S and Ethics:** Responsibility for EH&S and Ethics compliance for the Nordics Applied sales team. Support, promote, and be an ambassador for the ‘Carrier Way’ behaviours. + **Legal Compliance:** Ensures the sales team practices comply with all local and international laws/ legislation and minimise other business risks to acceptable levels. Qualifications + **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred. + **Experience:** Minimum of 8 years of sales experience, with at least 4 years in a leadership role. + **Industry Knowledge:** >3 years of industry knowledge in Commercial HVAC in the Nordic countries + **Proven Track Record:** Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and driving business growth. + **Leadership Skills:** Strong leadership and team management abilities. + **Communication Skills:** Excellent verbal and written communication skills. + **Analytical Skills:** Proficient in data analysis and sales forecasting. + **Strategic Thinking:** Ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies. + **Customer-focused** : Strong customer relationship management skills. + **Adaptability:** Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high performance dynamic environment. + **Travel:** Must have a clean driving licence and be able to travel a minimum of 50% of time. **Carrier is An Equal** **Opportunity/Affirmative** **Action Employer.
