Location: Kalispell, MontanaSchedule: Day Shift – 8 Hours | Full-time – 40 Hours Logan Health Neuroscience & Spine Neurology is seeking a Neurodiagnostic Technologist (EEG Tech) to join our team in Kalispell, Montana. As a Neurodiagnostic Technologist (EEG Tech), you will assist in the delivery of patient care by performing non-invasive neurological tests under the supervision of a credentialed technologist. You will gain hands-on experience in electroencephalography (EEG) and other neurodiagnostic procedures, playing a key role in the diagnosis of neurological conditions. Key Responsibilities + Assist in EEG and Neurodiagnostic Testing: Performs non-invasive neurological tests under direct supervision, supporting physicians in diagnosing conditions such as epilepsy, stroke, and brain disorders. + Patient Care & Preparation: Explains procedures to patients, ensures proper electrode placement, and prepares monitoring equipment. + Data Management: Enters physician-approved orders into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and assists in preparing reports. + Equipment Maintenance: Helps maintain and troubleshoot EEG equipment and reports issues as needed. + Collaboration & Communication: Works closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support high-quality patient care. + Training & Certification Preparation: Gains practical experience while working toward ABRET certification, required within 12 months of hire. + Process Improvement: Engages in quality improvement initiatives and follows department protocols to enhance patient outcomes. Basic Qualifications (Required) + Education: Currently enrolled in an approved EEG Neurodiagnostic Development or Training Curriculum or must enroll within six (6) months of hire in an approved EEG Neurodiagnostic Development or Training Curriculum. + Certification Requirement: Must successfully obtain National Certification through ABRET within 12 months of hire. + Technical Skills: Ability to accurately maintain records, interpret and record neurodiagnostic data. + Team-Oriented: Strong commitment to working in a collaborative healthcare environment while maintaining patient confidentiality. + Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams. + Computer Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn and use other healthcare software, including EMR systems. Preferred Qualifications + Healthcare Experience: Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required. + CPR Certification: Current RQI Provider CPR certification (or must obtain within 90 days of hire). + Familiarity with EMR: Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) for patient documentation. + Detail-Oriented: Strong organizational skills, critical thinking abilities, and problem-solving skills. Job Specific Duties: + Under the direct supervision of a credentialed Neurodiagnostic Technologist, performs noninvasive neurological tests on patients utilizing a variety of equipment. + Thoroughly explains the procedure to the patient per department protocol + Measures and marks areas of the body to place electrodes. Prepares monitoring equipment and places electrodes appropriately. + Data enters physician-approved orders for neuro diagnostic testing in EMR per department protocol. + Accurately and timely prepares testing reports for physician review. + Works collaboratively with providers, clinical staff and other departments to meet the physical, psychosocial, education and spiritual needs of the patient and family. + Maintains and troubleshoots EEG equipment and notifies leadership as appropriate. + Participates in process improvement and/or risk related departmental activities. + Incorporates population specific needs into all aspects of communication and patient care per department protocol. + Provides administrative support to assigned area(s).
