Apply Today! **Job Summary and Qualifications** The Neurodiagnostic Technician is responsible for monitoring and interpreting Neurodiagnostic data for physicians. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, direct patient care, provision and supervision of neurodiagnostic set-up, patient preparation, monitoring studies in various care settings, and the completion of post study work is essential. This position requires flexibility and adaptability to the changing needs of the hospital. Strong interpersonal communication skills, and responsibility for after hours and weekend call as assigned. + Participates in hospital or departmental performance improvement activities, and seeks opportunities to improve department and inter-departmental processes. + Serves as a resource to department staff, students, volunteers and other departments, and contributes to the teamwork essential to ensuring quality patient care. + Takes appropriate measures to ensure safety of staff and patients. + Ability to use several pieces of equipment and perform multiple technical procedures. + Able to make discriminating observations, technical and clinical, and follow-up with the appropriate leadership personnel (supervisor, nursing. physician). + Participates in the education of new staff. + Participates in continuing education at work and continues career enhancement. + Will acquire knowledge and skill to perform other procedures as needed by the department including, but not limited to long-term EEG monitoring, 24 hour monitoring. + Troubleshoots equipment and reports need for repair to vendor, biomed, IT & S, or Director, as appropriate **What qualifications you will need:** + Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date + Education relative to position in neurophysiology department required. + Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in EEG preferred + ABRET EEG registry (R.EEG.T.) preferred Medical City Lewisville is a full-service 190+ bed medical and surgical facility.
