Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Neuro Rehabilitation Assistant to support patients with neurological conditions in their recovery journey. The successful candidate will work closely with therapists to deliver patient-centered care aimed at improving physical, cognitive, and functional abilities. Key Responsibilities: Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and activities prescribed by licensed therapists. Support mobility training, including walking, transfers, and use of assistive devices. Help implement therapy plans for cognitive, speech, or occupational rehab as instructed. Monitor patient progress and promptly report any concerns to supervising clinicians. Provide motivation, encouragement, and emotional support to patients. Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and observations. Ensure patient safety during all interactions and comply with infection control protocols. Prepare therapy equipment and keep treatment areas clean and organized. Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required. Qualifications and Skills: Certification or diploma in healthcare support, rehabilitation assistance, or related field (preferred). Previous experience in neuro or physical rehabilitation (desirable but not always required). Understanding of neurological conditions such as stroke, MS, TBI, Parkinson’s, etc. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Physically capable of assisting patients with movement and exercise. Reliable, empathetic, and able to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team. Work Environment: Hospital, outpatient rehab center, or home/community-based settings. May involve occasional travel between client sites (if in community roles). Some evening or weekend shifts may be required depending on service needs.
