What will you do?
Ensure all customer-impacting outages are resolved promptlyFulfill customer requests in accordance with our SLAsManage network changes through a strict ITIL-based processMonitor network health, including metrics collection, visualization, and alertingTrack network utilization to assist capacity management modelsOwn network monitoring settings, maintenance, and incident management SOPsProvide problem management support for network root cause analysis and drive problem investigationsProactively manage network vulnerabilities, patches, and software upgradesDocument all aspects of the network environmentMentor lower-level engineers and peer support groupsCoordinate with vendors and providers for issue resolutionsHandle Service Now work queue to address customer requests within SLAsDrive quality into network metrics and performance assessmentsIdentify and implement automation opportunities in collaboration with SMEs and programmersGuide customers and colleagues on Global Network engagement and ITIL processesParticipate in technology training provided by SMEs or vendorsHow will you get there?
BE/BS in network engineering & operations or equivalent work experience preferredCCNA Certified or equivalent2-4 years of network engineering and operations experienceHands-on experience with Cisco, Meraki, Aruba, Arista, Cisco WLAN, Fortinet, or F5 productsAutomation programming skills (Python or similar) are a plusStrong understanding of Networking and Security standards and practicesExperience with LAN (VLAN, Switching) and WLAN (WLC, Prime), and RoutingExperience with SD-WAN management & troubleshooting is advantageousUnderstanding and experience in cloud computing (AWS and/or Azure) is a plusTool & Technology Skills:Telco: WAN, LAN, WirelessOSS/BSS: Service Now, JiraNetwork: Switching, Routing, Security, CloudProduct: Cisco, Fortinet, F5, Silver Peak SDWAN, Arista, Clearpass, OpenGear, Meraki, AWS, AzureAutomation: Python, API, Service OrchestrationKnowledge, Skills, Abilities:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong customer service skillsAbility to work independently and collaborativelySelf-motivated and ethicalEager to learn new technologies and develop skillsAbility to build relationships with clients, engineering, and peer management teams
