Schedule will allow for every other weekend off.** Computing and Information Technology provides a challenging, broad range of skill development in a team environment. We provide quality customer service and support in an academic/research/business setting. **Daily Responsibilities:** + Monitors network, server, and application elements, resolves incidents and service requests and/or consults with the subject matter expert team for incident resolution. Applies simple state-of-the-art technology to meet and improve the network control center. + Control network and system processing. Responds to customer inquiries and alters via emails, incoming calls, and walk-ins. Conducts routine inspections on equipment and reports any abnormalities. Other operational duties as assigned, such as meetings, project work, administration and facilities requirements. + Configure network and system resources and maintain corresponding system records and documentation. Provides Tier II support as per SME agreements. Performs periodic maintenance and monitoring of computer systems. Performs pre-configured port activations on network switches. + Prepares and reviews documentation for use in operations for training and the knowledge base. Participates in training and cross-training for the Tier II.
