**Job Title: Network Security Lead**
**Position Overview:**
Ralliant is seeking a highly skilled and hands-on **Network Security Lead in Raleigh, NC** to serve as the solution architect and technical product owner for enterprise-wide network security capabilities. This role is critical in designing, implementing, and governing secure, scalable, and compliant network infrastructures across global operations. The ideal candidate will work cross-functionally to unify operational and technology-driven aspects of network security, ensuring alignment with Ralliant’s integrated cyber defense and compliance mandates (SOX, NIST 800-171, CMMC, ITAR, GDPR, etc.).
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Act as the **technical product owner** for enterprise network security capabilities across business units and IT Shared Services.
+ Architect and lead deployment, tuning, and optimization of **Zscaler** (ZIA, ZPA, ZCC, ZDX) and **Palo Alto Networks** (NGFW, VM-Series, Prisma Cloud) solutions.
+ Define and enforce network segmentation, secure remote access, SASE, and zero-trust strategies aligned with business continuity and DevSecOps principles.
+ Direct and oversee **network security services provided by MSSPs** , ensuring SLAs, KPIs, and quality of delivery meet Ralliant’s operational and security expectations.
+ **Collaborate with IT and Network leadership** to develop and align security architecture, technology roadmaps, and transformation strategies.
+ Drive the network security lifecycle including **design reviews, threat modeling, vulnerability remediation** , and support incident response in hybrid cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
+ Provide governance over network traffic inspection, encrypted traffic analysis, and anomaly detection.
+ Evaluate and integrate new technologies to support **cloud-native transformation and secure access** to OT, SaaS, and internal applications globally.
+ Ensure operational excellence through metrics, automation, policy compliance, and proactive threat defense informed by the Verizon DBIR and other intelligence sources.
+ Partner with compliance, audit, and risk teams to meet regulatory and framework obligations, including **NIST 800-171, SOX, and ITAR** .
+ Mentor junior engineers and foster a continuous learning and improvement culture.
**Qualifications:**
+ 8+ years of **hands-on experience** in network security engineering or architecture roles in large-scale, complex environments.
+ This role requires U.S. citizenship in adherence to ITAR, DFARS, and federal compliance standards.
+ Deep knowledge and practical deployment experience with **Zscaler (ZIA, ZPA, ZCC, ZDX)** and **Palo Alto Networks (Firewalls, Prisma Cloud)** .
+ Advanced understanding of **cloud networking/security in AWS and Azure** .
+ Demonstrated experience in enterprise network security strategy and operations across **global sites and cloud-native platforms** .
+ Experience directing MSSPs and managing vendor performance for network security services.
+ Familiarity with **NIST 800-171, CMMC, SOX, GDPR** , and **ITAR** compliance controls.
+ **Relevant certifications** preferred (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, PCNSE, Zscaler Certified Architect, AWS/Azure Security).
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or equivalent experience (Master’s or certifications a plus).
**Preferred Attributes:**
+ Strong understanding of **DevSecOps practices** and secure CI/CD pipelines.
+ Proven leadership in cross-functional technical teams, MSSP governance, and strategic influence.
+ Passion for automation, telemetry, and continuous improvement in line with Lean Manufacturing and Agile principles.

**Bonus or Equity**
This position is also eligible for bonus as part of the total compensation package.
**Pay Range**
The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 101,500.00 - 188,500.00
**Is this role subject to ITAR?**
