Network Security Engineer, Google Enterprise Network
Minimum qualifications: + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience. + 3 years of experience with network routing protocols, design and troubleshooting, with network equipment providers. + Experience in Security, Network Security Architecture, Security, Security Assessment, Security Controls, Enterprise Networking and Security, or related domains. + Experience with planning and designing networks (e.g., multiple sites, multiple products, etc.). Preferred qualifications: + Experience in embedding security into and developing network design and architectural patterns with several reusable components to drive security at scale. + Experience developing security policies, standards, and controls with practical implementation across enterprise network environments. + Experience working with and leading cross-functional programs from technical and non-technical experience to drive positive security outcomes across large-scale organizations. + Experience in Security Engineering, Security Assessment, Vulnerability Management, and Threat Modeling, with experience in automation and delivering organization-wide programs. + Experience in domains such as Network Enterprise Architecture, Identity and Access Management, Network Security, Application Security, Cloud Security, or Infrastructure Security. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$189,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Learn more about benefits at Google (https://careers.google.com/benefits/) . + Lead a few programs for the organization while driving cross-functional collaborations to achieve significant organizational impact. + Develop security framework, policies, standards, and baselines for various infrastructures and network designs with the goal of uplifting security and reducing risks. + Conduct threat modeling and security assessments for various product, services, and offerings to help secure them while collaborating with the teams to develop solutions to help reduce overall risks. + Lead security programs and initiatives from inception to define roadmap, milestones, and impact, with consideration of resourcing, technical challenges, and risk factors. + Develop network and software technologies, with an understanding of associated security risks to recommend actionable risk remediation to both technical and non-technical audiences.
