Pega’s Return-to-Work program is a 16-week paid “Returnship” for experienced professionals who have at least 5 years of experience and are returning to the workforce after taking at least a 1-year hiatus. Meet Our Team:As a member of Cloud Operations team, you will be a key member, responsible for the reliability, availability, and security of Pegasystems cloud service offerings. We operate as a global follow the sun 24x7 team with locations in Krakow, Bangalore, Sydney, and the East Coast of the United States. What You'll Do at Pega: Handle alerts, incidents, service requests and changes within SLA. Own customer escalationsPerform provisioning and upgrade of the Infrastructure components & network solutionsTroubleshoot and resolve customers environment issues along with root cause analysisCreate and maintain operational runbooks and Standard Operating ProceduresParticipate in testing of pre-release product enhancement testing with EngineeringIdentify opportunities for automation of repeated operational tasks and reduce toilManage projects and able to adapt to changing business goalsParticipate in after hours on call rotation including weekend shiftsBe able to support FedRAMP (US citizenship and residency required) Ability to obtain clearance to work in Government cloud if requiredAble to work from Pega office in Dulles, VA or Waltham, MA or any other Pega offices in USA in a hybrid setupWho You Are: Proven professional and technical experience in an enterprise cloud environment supporting SAAS applications with a focus on operational delivery excellence and customer serviceYou are self-motivated, inquisitive, and creative, with a passion for continuous improvement and excellent people skillsWorks well with cross-functional global and remote teams Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies, techniques, and tools quickly to meet our business requirementsComfortable working in a fast-paced, enterprise environmentPossess customer obsession and proven empathy towards customersWhat You've Accomplished:You are skilled in Cloud, Linux and Networking Technologies, and have accomplished the below:
3+ years of enterprise scale cloud operations or cloud engineering experience2+ years of experience in Pega2+ years of hands-on operational experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) network topology and services. Exposure to additional public clouds such as GCP, a major plus2+ years Linux systems administration experience1+ years experience in Kubernetes (K8s) or Docker or any other containersKnowledge of deployments and management of AWS services - including but not limited to: Direct Connect, Transit gateway, VPC, Route 53, ELB, EBS, EC2, S3Understanding of network administration fundamentals- DNS/DHCP, Load Balancing (AWS ELB, F5 Networks), Firewalls (Cisco Systems, Juniper Networks), IPSEC VPN and dynamic IP routing protocols (BGP, MPLS/VPLS), CIDR and sub-netting (IPv4 and IPv6)Excellent network latency analysis, performance monitoring and troubleshooting skillsWillingness to pick up automation scripting ability (Bash/Shell, Python, or similar scripting languages)Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalentAWS or GCP Certification preferredCCNA or CCNP Certification, a plusPega Offers You:
