Network Engineer - Netbrain
Job Title: Network Engineer – NetBrain & Ansible Automation Location: Hybrid – New York, NY - Near Grand Central Terminal and Madison Square Park (Minimum 3 days onsite per week) About the Role: TEKsystems is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to support a major healthcare client in New York City. This role will focus on a Forescout implementation and a network automation migration project, leveraging NetBrain and Ansible to modernize and streamline network operations. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in multi-vendor network environments, Python scripting, and cloud-first infrastructure strategies. Key Responsibilities: + Lead the migration of Ansible playbooks into NetBrain automation runbooks. + Support the deployment and integration of the Forescout platform. + Collaborate with network architects and DevOps teams to design scalable automation solutions. + Develop and maintain Python scripts for network automation tasks. + Translate CLI logic into NetBrain’s visual scripting and CLI Parser rules. + Participate in testing, validation, and deployment of automation in staging and production environments. + Document automation workflows, rollback plans, and design decisions. + Provide expert-level support for daily network operations and troubleshooting. Required Skills & Experience:Network Automation & Scripting + 5+ years of hands-on experience with Ansible (playbooks, roles, Jinja2, YAML). + 5+ years of experience with NetBrain (Dynamic Maps, Runbooks, Qapps, Python Script Nodes). + Strong Python programming skills for network automation. + Experience with Ansible Tower/AWX and NetBrain APIs. Network Engineering + 10+ years in enterprise network environments. + Deep knowledge of Cisco, Arista, and Juniper platforms. + Strong foundation in BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, VLANs, VXLAN, VRFs. + Familiarity with Cisco ACI, Meraki, SD-WAN (preferred). Cloud & Tooling + 5–10 years of experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP. + Experience with Infoblox/BlueCat, Git, and ServiceNow integrations. Preferred Certifications: + Cisco CCNP or CCIE + NetBrain Certified Professional + Red Hat Ansible Automation + Python for Network Engineers + ITIL Foundation (optional) Work Environment: + Access to a cutting-edge lab with tools like CyberArk, Riverbed, TippingPoint IPS. + Involvement in a new datacenter buildout. + Fast-paced, large-scale healthcare environment with minimal supervision. Additional Information: + C2C Not Allowed Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $85.00/hr.
