We currently have an opportunity for Network Engineers with Defence experience. Join our Downer Professional Services team and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australia’s future.
What You’ll Do
This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:
Support the design, build, and deploy of complex network solutions.Create, update and review all associated network documentation.Provide Network SME advice to the customer, and internal and external stakeholders to facilitate project definition, system architecture and process improvement.Create Knowledge Articles on key processes and procedures for network devices and systems that can be used across the service desk and wider community of IT support staff.Identify innovative service improvements that provide additional value to network solutions.Work with peers in a highly collaborative and high-performing team environmentReviewing Telstra design and documentation
What You’ll Bring
-Routing and switching
-IPSec, VPN, VXLAN, OSPF, BGP, MPLS TE
-Next-generation firewalls
-Voice over IP
-Enterprise wireless LAN infrastructure
-Network segmentation and access control
-Network telemetry protocols such as NetFlow and SNMPStrong knowledge of industry-standard frameworks (e.g., TOGAF).Hands-on expertise in network automation using NSO and Ansible.Skilled in Linux OS, with experience in shell scripting and Python.
