Kforce has a client that is seeking a hands-on Network Engineer in Kalamazoo, MI. This is a unique opportunity for a mid- to senior-level engineer with deep technical expertise-particularly in Juniper, Ruckus, and Palo Alto technologies. Duties: * Hands-On Engineering: Design, implement, and maintain networking, server, and security systems-primarily working with Juniper networking gear, Ruckus wireless infrastructure, and Palo Alto firewalls * Infrastructure Strategy: Collaborate with senior leadership to define infrastructure roadmaps and support business growth and resilience goals * Security Oversight: Own and maintain core infrastructure security practices, including firewalls, access controls, network segmentation, and endpoint protection * Monitoring and Incident Response: Oversee monitoring tools, respond to incidents, and lead root cause analysis efforts to drive continuous improvement * Documentation & Standards: Ensure system documentation is up to date and that best practices and policies are enforced across the infrastructure footprint * Vendor & Project Management: Manage relationships with key technology vendors, and lead or contribute to infrastructure-related projects
